3) Quarries and plaster production

In the Nam Phrae area you find a lot of (old) quarries. Some have been used to get soil for construction of the airport runways, some to obtain stones for road construction. The most well-known is Grand Canyon, which was turned into a water park. But many others are worth seeing, because they changed into beautyful ecosystems. Also the still carried out and very interesting way of producing plaster is worth seeing.
