Ping River and rice paddies adventure
This half day tour is rated easy (*), because it’s all cycling in flat land and not much effort is required to keep your electric bike going. The distance of this adventure is about 40 km and it lasts about 3,5-4 hours. On this tour it’s also possible to use a trailer if you have young kids.
Our guide brings you from our location in Nam Phrae through the village to Wat Ton Kwen.
From Wat Ton Kwen we cycle east to find the first rice paddies.
After these rice paddies we head further and pass the archeological site Wat Chang Nam. On this picture a little bit overgrown, but it shows you that this tour can be well done with your little kid in a trailer or on a tag-along.
From this place we continue to pass the bridge over the Ping River at Wat Wang Sing Kham.
Following the river we find a dam. The water level behind the dam varies and can be wild and high in rainy season and low and dry the rest of the year.
Further down the river we cross back to the other side and follow the Ping for a while, seeing fish farms, more rice fields and orchards.
We cross more agricultural areas, often alternated or mixed with cultural and religious viewpoints.
At the end we make a last stop at Grand Canyon Waterpark before we return to the starting point for your well deserved lunch. If you want we can bring you to the waterpark after lunch (entrance not included), so you can have a refreshing swim in the afternoon.
Of course there is much more to see and tell, but that is for our guides to do. If you want it all, come and get it by booking this adventure!
