Philanthropy Connections Foundation
We are happy to introduce Philanthropy Connections Foundation (PCF) to you.
Philanthropy Connections Foundation (PCF) is a non-profit organisation that finds, helps and empowers people in need. They make connections that enable people to help themselves and each other.
PCF works with communities to find the needs the community wants to improve. Philanthropy Connection Foundation doesn’t bring own ideas and implement them, but helps people make their dreams in their specific situation come true. Sometimes the most needed piece missing is not obvious to the people from PCF, but they find out by listening to the ideas of the community.
Usually education support is a big component. If people are unable to learn, they cannot go far in this world. That’s why many of the PCF projects are focused on recognizing bright young people who have a passion to help their community. And then giving them the tools and resources to be able to get the education and experience they couldn’t otherwise get, so they can be the ‘change makers’. Philanthropy Connections Foundation makes it possible for them to have the chance!
During COVID-19, this has meant that people have lost ability to work, and their children can’t afford to be away from home getting this education. So PCF has acted by helping with the most basic requirements so they have enough food to eat, and so that parents can focus on finding work, and their children don’t quit their studies.
A few projects (more you can find on the Philanthropy Connections Foundation website):
– Covid Emergency Food Support
– Education for Internally Displaced Persons in Burma
– Preschool for a remote agricultural community
We know the driven founder of Philanthropy Connections Foundation, Sallo Polak, and some of his team members already for a longer time. This, in combination with a visit to the PCF office located in a cheap townhouse in Chiang Mai, convinced us that the donations are well spent. Low overhead and high conversion rate in favor of local projects.
If you are looking for an organization/project to sponsor, we can highly recommend to consider a donation to PCF, as we recently did as well. Your money will definitely be well spend.
